Steve Okoth, Tax Advisory Director at BDO Kenya, brings 14 years of expertise in tax advisory across Eastern Africa. Leading the BDO East Africa Tax Centre of Excellence, he specializes in tax dispute resolution, audits, and appeals, with a focus on alternative dispute resolution and representation at the Tax Appeals Tribunal. Steve’s knowledge spans international tax, transfer pricing, and strategic tax planning, especially in affordable housing, infrastructure, and green energy sectors.

He actively contributes to the tax profession through the Kenya Private Sector Alliance and the Kenya Association of Manufacturing’s Tax Committee. Steve holds a law degree from the University of Nairobi and has specialized training in international tax, with past experience at PKF and RSM.
